Morocco's Banque Atlantique launched Coffee-Cocoa campaign in Abidjan

Banque Atlantique, a subsidiary of Morocco’s Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP), has officially launched its 2025–2026 Coffee-Cocoa campaign in Abidjan. The initiative was unveiled on September 24 during a high-profile event attended by key figures from across the sector, underscoring the bank’s continued commitment to one of Côte d’Ivoire’s most vital industries.

Producers, cooperatives, processors, and exporters all came together for the kickoff, a show of unity that highlights just how crucial coffee and cocoa are to the country’s economy. Côte d’Ivoire holds the top spot globally in cocoa production, accounting for nearly 45 percent of the world’s total output—a figure that reflects both the scale and importance of the industry.

During the event, BCP Group CEO Naziha Belkeziz emphasized the campaign’s core mission: to boost local processing, enhance the competitiveness of agricultural value chains, and deepen rural financing networks. She described the effort as part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening agricultural sectors across Africa—sectors that are increasingly viewed as pillars of long-term economic growth and transformation.

Banque Atlantique’s approach is multifaceted. It plans to offer tailored financing solutions that align with agricultural production cycles, along with tools to manage risk and provide targeted technical support. The bank is also expanding its digital services and building out a local presence in remote rural areas, making it easier for farmers and cooperatives to access financial services where they need them most.

This campaign reaffirms Banque Atlantique’s role not just as a financial institution, but as an active partner in the development of sustainable, inclusive growth across Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural landscape.
