The Renault Group’s Tangier factory has proudly introduced the first Dacia Jogger vehicles produced on its lines, featuring both hybrid and combustion engines.
Boosting production capacity
The second production line at the Tangier plant now handles the manufacturing of the Dacia Jogger for both European and Moroccan markets, with an installed capacity of up to 120,000 vehicles annually.
Advanced CMF-B platform
Built on the advanced CMF-B platform, the Dacia Jogger embodies the expertise and heritage of the Dacia brand applied to a C-segment vehicle. The Jogger is available in four different powertrains to meet the diverse needs of its export markets. Notably, the hybrid version makes it the first vehicle with this technology to be produced in a Moroccan automotive factory.
Industrial enhancements
The production of the Dacia Jogger in Tangier was accompanied by the installation of thirty robots in the sheet metal and assembly departments, as well as the implementation of processes specific to integrating hybrid technology. Over 2,500 employees were trained for the industrial launch of the Jogger, including 700 specifically for electrical certification.
Carbon neutrality
Symbolizing carbon neutrality and free from industrial effluent emissions, the Tangier plant represents a key pillar in Renault Group’s industrial strategy and the Dacia brand. The Tangier site also produces the Dacia Sandero, the top-selling vehicle to private customers in Europe since 2017.
In 2023, Renault Group’s ecosystem achieved a local integration rate of 65.5% (excluding mechanical components) and local sourcing revenue of 2.06 billion euros, an 11% increase compared to 2022.
Expanding the C-segment ambition
With the new Jogger, Dacia strengthens its ambition in the C-segment. Available in 5 and 7-seat versions, it combines the spaciousness and load volume of a leisure activity vehicle with the attributes of an SUV.
Versatility and modern appeal
The Jogger stands out with its versatile space and record modularity, offering up to 60 configurations in the 7-seat version. Its adventurous look and 4.55-meter length make it the longest vehicle in the Dacia lineup, appealing to customers seeking everyday versatility.
In Morocco, the Dacia Jogger will feature the Blue dCi 102 hp diesel engine. The powertrain lineup will expand with a Hybrid 140 version by the end of 2024.
Launch and preorders
The Dacia Jogger will be available from September 20, starting at 190,900 DH. Customers can pre-order their vehicles on the dacia.ma website from July 12.
