Moroccan tech firm ABA Technology has launched Fusion AI, a unified platform designed to build a national ecosystem for sovereign artificial intelligence. The project is backed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Digital Transition.
The launch took place on 2 April. The company says the goal is to move from “Made in Morocco” to “Invented and Made in Morocco”, positioning AI as a strategic asset for national sovereignty.
The centrepiece of the launch is Fusion AI-in-a-Box, a compact system developed with global partners NVIDIA and Dell Technologies.
The platform allows organisations to deploy a secure, local AI infrastructure capable of processing highly sensitive data without relying on foreign servers. The system uses NVIDIA Blackwell chips.
The company says local processing is now a necessity for national security rather than a luxury.
ABA Technology says the platform is already being deployed in industry, government and healthcare.
In mining, Fusion AI Twin is being used at Managem’s Tizert mine to run digital twins that monitor production in real time and prevent breakdowns.
In government, the Governa AI platform is already simulating the economic impact of geopolitical crises. The Ministry of Digital Transition formally adopted the sovereign AI factory in January 2026.
In healthcare, Medifus uses AI agents to speed up biomedical research and shorten drug discovery timelines.
ABA Technology employs 1,200 people and operates across the AI value chain. The group also develops smart cameras through Nextcor and manages territorial monitoring via DakaAI, described as a regional first across the Middle East and Africa.
Through ABA Venture, the company says it has launched 13 startups. Training initiatives include the Fusion AI Academy and the Generation AI & IoT Morocco programme, which aim to train 1,200 young people each year from 2026.
The company wants the platform to become a regional driver for EMEA markets, helping organisations move from isolated tools to integrated AI systems.
Fusion AI will be showcased at GITEX Africa in Marrakech from 7 to 9 April.
