The Board of Directors of the Société Nationale des Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) met last Monday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, to approve the company’s budget for 2025. This comprehensive plan reflects a forward-looking approach to expanding and maintaining Morocco’s motorway network.
The budget anticipates revenue of 4.4 billion dirhams, driven by a projected 5.5% increase in traffic. Simultaneously, an investment of 4.1 billion dirhams has been allocated to a range of strategic infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing the user experience across the country’s motorways.
Among the key initiatives is the construction of the Tit Mellil-Berrechid Motorway and the Rabat-Casablanca Continental Motorway, designed to alleviate congestion on existing routes and improve access between critical regions. Significant upgrades are also planned for the Sidi Maarouf and Ain Harrouda interchanges, which are expected to streamline traffic flow and reduce bottlenecks.
The budget further highlights plans to strengthen road safety measures and continue the rollout of automated systems for motorway operations, a step forward in modernizing the network and ensuring seamless travel.
In addition to these expansion projects, ADM has committed over 600 million dirhams to the maintenance of the national motorway network. This investment will focus on improving roadway surfaces and preserving infrastructure, ensuring that the network remains safe and efficient for years to come.
With its 2025 budget, ADM is taking significant steps to enhance Morocco’s motorway system, balancing innovation with preservation. As traffic volumes continue to grow, these investments aim to solidify the country’s position as a regional leader in transport infrastructure.
