Expo 2020 Dubai is an opportunity for the Kingdom to shine at the international level and to promote Moroccan skills, said the Commissioner General of the Moroccan section, Nadia Fettah Alaoui. This exhibition will be one of the first global gatherings to take place since the outbreak of the pandemic, she noted, adding that Morocco will be present among the 190 participating countries to share its ambitious vision for a sustainable future and contribute to global efforts and collaboration for post-Covid economic recovery.

Morocco’s participation is intended to ensure that the image of a modern, engaged, changing country that works for a positive impact for future generations is enhanced, strengthen its economic, commercial and tourist attractiveness and consolidate exchanges with the other participating countries within the framework of a vision of sustainable and shared progress, underlined Alaoui, as quoted in a press release issued by the General Commission. The objective is to tell the story of a Morocco proud of its origins which have forged its identity: in terms of legacy, values, great people, natural resources, privileged geographical location, etc, she pointed out.

According to the Commissioner General, the Moroccan participation also aims to highlight the vision of progress of our country under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has always advocated the values of openness, moderation, tolerance and dialogue for mutual understanding between all cultures and civilizations of the world, she recalled.

Expo 2020 Dubai is scheduled from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
