On Tuesday in Cairo, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held extensive bilateral discussions with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdel Ati.
The talks focused on enhancing the strong ties between the two nations, in line with the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi. These discussions were anchored in the longstanding bonds of brotherhood between the two countries’ leaders and peoples, as well as their shared commitment to solidarity, mutual destiny, and common goals.
During the meeting, the ministers agreed to strengthen coordination and consultations between their respective foreign ministries. They pledged to hold the fourth session of the Mechanism for Dialogue, Coordination, and Political and Strategic Consultation as soon as possible. Additionally, they emphasized the need to increase high-level exchanges between officials from both countries to breathe new life into the cooperation between Morocco and Egypt.
The ministers also shared views on various common interests concerning the Arab, African, and international arenas.
