New multilingual chatbot aims to help Moroccans living abroad

In a bid to better connect with Moroccan citizens living abroad, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad has launched a new digital tool designed to provide fast and practical assistance. Named “Goul-IA,” this interactive chatbot is multilingual and delivers instant answers to a wide range of everyday questions, offering a more accessible link between the diaspora and public services.

Available directly on the CCME’s official website, Goul-IA is part of a broader push to streamline access to information for Moroccans living overseas. The platform draws from a regularly updated database, covering topics such as family law, investment opportunities, taxes, property issues, and retirement procedures. Whether someone needs legal guidance or help navigating administrative steps, the chatbot is designed to deliver clear and concise answers around the clock.

What sets Goul-IA apart is its credibility. All content is reviewed and approved by two legal professionals—one based in Morocco and the other in France—ensuring that the information is accurate and relevant to users on both sides of the Mediterranean. The system also complies fully with data privacy standards, in line with the rules established by Morocco’s national data protection authority.

Available 24/7 from anywhere in the world, Goul-IA aims to become a go-to resource for Moroccans abroad seeking fast, reliable support without the hurdles of traditional bureaucracy. This initiative is part of the CCME’s broader strategy to modernize its digital services, following a detailed review of the most common inquiries it has received in recent years.

By combining linguistic accessibility with real-time interactivity, the Council hopes to narrow the gap between public institutions and citizens overseas. Users are encouraged to try out the chatbot during its experimental phase and share feedback, allowing the tool to improve over time through direct community input.
