OCP Africa reshapes leadership to drive continental growth

OCP Africa is preparing to overhaul its organizational structure, signaling a new chapter in its strategy to consolidate operations and expand its reach across the African continent. In the coming weeks, a fresh governance model will be rolled out, designed to strengthen existing activities while accelerating the group’s footprint in key regional markets.

This shift comes as interim leader Mohamed Hettiti prepares to step down. After guiding the company through a pivotal transition period, Hettiti is being recognized for his leadership and the role he played in steering major projects across Africa. He is expected to take on new responsibilities within the broader OCP Group.

To ensure stability during this transitional phase, the company has created a dedicated framework to oversee day-to-day operations and keep strategic priorities on track. This interim structure is meant to safeguard business continuity and maintain momentum on critical initiatives.

Leadership responsibilities have been clearly outlined. Marouane Mortabit will continue to lead activities in East Africa, while Mehdi Filali has been tasked with overseeing coordination efforts in West Africa. In Nigeria—one of the group’s most important markets—Caleb Usoh will remain in charge of key operations. Aniss Bouraqqadi will monitor and support agricultural development projects across the continent.

Digital transformation efforts will be guided by Karim Khalfi, while Hajar Benchekroun will lead human capital management. Financial oversight is in the hands of Bouchra Malhouni, and Samar Darmouch is responsible for legal affairs and compliance.

As of July 1, Habiba Mouttaki joins Nutricrops, where she will spearhead the Acceleration pillar within the Nutrition Solutions Business Unit. Her appointment is part of a wider innovation-driven strategy that aims to position the company at the forefront of sustainable agriculture solutions globally.

Together, this leadership team is being mobilized to ensure a seamless transition, keep operations running smoothly, and steer OCP Africa through a critical moment in its evolution.
