The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has announced the awarding of two significant contracts to renowned international companies, China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group and Vossloh Cogifer. These contracts aim to enhance the railway capacity between Kénitra and Marrakech and improve the Casablanca hub.
In a tender valued at over 990 million dirhams, ONCF selected these companies for their expertise and proven track record in the railway sector.
China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group, a Chinese company specializing in railway infrastructure, has been chosen to supply track equipment for the conventional line between Kénitra and Marrakech. This contract, worth 81.09 million dirhams and 27.02 million dollars, will span four years.
German group Vossloh Cogifer, known for its expertise in expansion joints for civil engineering structures, will provide these specific components for 3.41 million dirhams and 2.25 million euros. This contract is set for a duration of two years.
