The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange alert for a severe heat wave expected from Sunday to Wednesday in several provinces across the kingdom. Temperatures are forecasted to soar between 42 and 46 °C.
From Sunday to Wednesday, the heat wave is set to impact the provinces of Tata, Zagora, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, and Errachidia, as detailed in the DGM’s warning bulletin.
Additionally, from Monday to Wednesday, the scorching temperatures will extend to the provinces of Taounate, Ouezzane, Taroudant, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khémisset, Khouribga, Settat, Fès, Sefrou, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Fquih Ben Saleh, Meknès, and Khénifra.
