During the first five months of 2024, Dakhla Airport saw a remarkable 29% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2023. According to a statement from the National Airports Office (ONDA), by the end of May 2024, the airport had welcomed approximately 114,791 passengers, up from 88,780 in the previous year.

In May alone, air traffic at Dakhla Airport surged by 41%, with 27,288 passengers compared to 19,330 in May 2023, ONDA reports.

On a national scale, Moroccan airports handled a total of 2,827,570 commercial passengers in May 2024, marking a 20% year-on-year increase.
