Pathé has officially opened its first cinema complex in Rabat, marking a key milestone in the group’s expansion across Morocco. Nestled within the vibrant Dar Essalam Market, this new multiplex is the result of a strategic partnership with Marjane Group and signals a shift toward premium, community-focused entertainment spaces.
Designed as an intimate yet upscale venue, the cinema features four screening rooms, three of which are VIP lounges tailored to deliver a high-end viewing experience. Every detail – from seating to acoustics – has been curated to meet the expectations of a discerning audience seeking both comfort and immersion.
This latest addition enhances the overall offering of the Dar Essalam Market, a mixed-use development that combines retail, dining, and leisure. The cinema isn’t just a place to watch films—it’s envisioned as a cultural anchor within a dynamic urban district, bringing energy and foot traffic to one of Rabat’s emerging neighborhoods.
On the technical side, Pathé has spared no expense. Each auditorium is outfitted with cutting-edge Samsung Onyx 2 4K screens and immersive Dolby Atmos sound systems, ensuring a visual and audio experience that rivals the best international cinemas.
Frédéric Godfroid, CEO of Pathé Morocco, described the new location as a showcase of the group’s evolving vision: delivering premium cinema experiences that are not only luxurious but also well-integrated into their local context. He emphasized that this project reflects Pathé’s commitment to staying in tune with changing audience habits while contributing meaningfully to Morocco’s cultural and economic vitality.
