Porsche Morocco delivers country’s only 911 Turbo “50 Years” edition

Porsche Morocco has just handed over the country’s only unit of the highly anticipated 911 Turbo “50 Years” special edition to a private client. Produced in a strictly limited run of 1,974 vehicles worldwide, the model pays tribute to the half-century legacy of the iconic 911 Turbo, a cornerstone of the German automaker’s performance lineup.

The exclusive delivery took place at the Porsche Center in Casablanca, marking a milestone for the brand’s presence in Morocco. The event highlights a growing enthusiasm among Moroccan drivers for high-end sports cars. “The arrival of this exceptional model reflects the deep passion for Porsche in Morocco and our ongoing commitment to offering only the best to our clients,” said Sébastien Poncet, Director of Porsche Morocco.

Originally introduced in 1974, the 911 Turbo revolutionized the sports car landscape. This anniversary edition honors that heritage with a blend of retro styling cues and state-of-the-art technology. Design nods to the 1973 911 RSR Turbo are woven throughout the car, including a debut color called “Turbonite”—a unique shade making its first appearance on a 911 model.

Inside, the car is a refined tribute to its roots. The cabin features vintage-inspired McKenzie tartan upholstery on the seats and door panels, while meticulously crafted badges, crests, and trim elements underscore its exclusivity and historical significance.

Under the hood, the “50 Years” edition is based on the 911 Turbo S (type 992) and is powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, and includes Porsche’s latest in all-wheel-drive and dynamic performance systems.

With this singular delivery, Porsche Morocco not only reaffirms its appeal to elite car buyers but also strengthens its position in the premium automotive market. The arrival of this collector’s piece is a clear signal of the brand’s growing footprint among Morocco’s most discerning enthusiasts.
