Porsche Morocco unveils rare 911 Spirit 70 convertible

Porsche Morocco has just added an exceptionally rare gem to its collection—a 911 Spirit 70 Special Edition convertible, one of only 1,500 units produced globally. Delivered to the Casablanca showroom, this model is part of the “Icons of Cool” series created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, a tribute to the brand’s rich heritage under its broader Heritage Design strategy.

Based on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, the Spirit 70 stands out with its striking Olive Neo paintwork and a retro-inspired Pasha interior pattern, a clear nod to the bold aesthetics of the 1970s. The model received in Morocco bears the number 130 out of 1,500, adding to its exclusivity. Distinctive features include a gold-edged commemorative badge, a titanium sport exhaust system, and Sport Classic wheels with the iconic Fuchs design.

This latest arrival joins an elite lineup already housed by Porsche Morocco, which includes the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition unveiled in 2020 and the 911 Sport Classic introduced in 2022. Together, these models reflect the brand’s commitment to blending nostalgia with cutting-edge automotive craftsmanship.

According to Sébastien Poncet, Brand Director for Porsche in Morocco, this particular model “revives the spirit of the 1970s while showcasing Porsche’s technological prowess and artisanal excellence.” He described the car as “a collector’s item that fuses legacy with innovation.”

Marketing and communications lead Meriem El Rhazi echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in unveiling a vehicle that “embodies both history and boldness” for Moroccan car enthusiasts.

With the introduction of the 911 Spirit 70, Porsche Morocco reinforces its dedication to offering the brand’s most iconic series in the local market, ensuring that the legendary spirit of the 911 continues to thrive.
