Rabat will host the Future Leaders Challenge Morocco 2026 on 30 and 31 March 2026 at The View. The event focuses on tourism and hotel training and aims to improve cooperation between schools, industry and public officials.

The initiative is led by Future Leaders Platform, founded by Hubert Ummels. It brings together students, universities and tourism professionals to discuss how education can better match the needs of the job market.

As part of the programme, students from more than twelve Moroccan institutions will take part in a 12-week challenge. They will work on a real problem in the tourism sector. At the end of the process, they will present their ideas and recommendations to experts, investors and officials in Rabat.

The event is supported by the Strategic Board of Morocco. Members include Hamid Ben Taher, president of the National Confederation of Tourism, and Imad Barrakad, director general of the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development. The board also includes representatives from hotel groups and other tourism bodies.

Several universities and specialist schools will take part, including Mohammed V University in Rabat, International University of Casablanca, Cadi Ayyad University, the Hotel School of Casablanca, and the International Institute of Tourism of Tangier.

Organisers say the event will offer a space to share experiences and ideas about the future of tourism and hospitality. They say it will also highlight the importance of training and new thinking in preparing young leaders for changes in the sector.
