Mohamed Boudrika, the president of Raja Casablanca, was arrested on Tuesday, July 16, in Germany, based on an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco, according to Moroccan medias.

Boudrika was traveling to Hamburg to meet with the team’s head coach, Josef Zinnbauer, aiming to persuade him to continue his tenure with the reigning Moroccan champions and the recent winners of the Coupe du Trône.

Adding to the intrigue, Boudrika’s associates posted two updates on his official Facebook account. The first announced the opening of ticket sales for the Greens’ upcoming friendly match against Real Betis.

The second post confirmed that Raja Casablanca would play both legs of their preliminary round in the Champions League against the Nigerian team, AS Garde Nationale (ASGNN), in Morocco. This decision was due to the CAF’s non-approval of the club’s stadium in Niamey.

The arrest of such a prominent figure has raised questions about the potential impact on Raja Casablanca’s preparations and performance in both domestic and international competitions.
