Registration is now open for the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication has said. The event will be held from 20 to 24 May in Rabat.
The expo aims to show the growth of Morocco’s gaming industry and build stronger links between local companies and international partners. It also seeks to support the country’s role in the regional and African video game market.
Developers, publishers, startups, professional players, investors, researchers and students are invited to take part. Organisers expect strong attendance this year.
The Morocco Gaming Expo has become an important meeting place for people working in the sector in Morocco and abroad. Those who want to attend can register through the official event website.
The 2026 programme will include talks from experts, panel discussions on technology and creative topics, major esports tournaments, live game demonstrations, and an exhibition area for new ideas and young talent.
The event takes place as Morocco continues to promote gaming as a way to create jobs and support economic growth for young people. The sector is seen as a key part of the country’s digital strategy.
The government is also working on plans to develop Rabat into a gaming and technology hub, often described as the “Rabat Gaming City” project. The aim is to create studios, training centres and modern facilities to attract global companies and help local developers reach international markets.
Officials say gaming can support job creation in areas such as coding and design. It can also help promote Moroccan culture through games made in the country.
At the same time, esports in Morocco is growing fast. National tournaments attract large crowds, and Moroccan players are competing more often in international events.
