Renault unveils new leadership team in bold restructuring push

Renault Group is rolling out a major internal shake-up as it ramps up efforts to reinvent itself. Just a month after stepping into the CEO role on July 31, François Provost has wasted no time putting his stamp on the company’s future. On September 1, he introduced a new leadership team built around seasoned professionals and high-stakes strategic goals.

Fabrice Cambolive steps into a brand-new role as Chief Growth Officer, while also staying on as CEO of the Renault brand. He’ll now oversee both Renault and Dacia, charged with designing a global growth strategy, streamlining operations in key international markets like India, Latin America, and South Korea, and ensuring a unified customer experience across every sales channel.

Dacia will now be led by Katrin Adt, who joins the top executive team and takes over from Denis Le Vot, who has left the company.

On the engineering side, Philippe Brunet has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Already deeply involved in Renault’s push toward electrification and the fast-tracking of new models, he’ll now oversee innovation and foster greater synergy across the group’s core functions, including within Ampere. He takes the baton from Philippe Krief, who continues to serve as CEO of Alpine.

Procurement will be headed by Anthony Plouvier, a well-respected figure in the industry. He’s been handed a critical brief: to boost Renault’s competitiveness and strengthen its industrial partnerships.

Thierry Charvet, already overseeing Industry and Quality, will now also be responsible for the Supply Chain. His expanded role reflects a move toward a more integrated approach to corporate governance.

In human resources, Claire Fanget replaces Bruno Laforge as Chief People & Organisation Officer. Her mission will be to support Renault’s cultural shift while helping employees build the skills needed for the company’s transformation.

Finally, Christian Stein has been confirmed as head of Communications and joins the executive leadership circle. François Provost will continue to personally oversee Partnerships and Public Affairs.
