Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Monday the reinstatement of its direct Casablanca-Beijing route as part of its efforts to strengthen its international network.
Starting January 20, 2025, RAM will resume this direct route, which was initially launched in January 2020 but suspended a few weeks later due to the health crisis. The route will operate three times a week, according to a company statement.
Flights departing from Casablanca are scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 3:15 PM (local time), arriving at Beijing International Airport the following day at 10:50 AM (local time). Return flights from Beijing will depart on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:50 PM (local time), arriving in Casablanca at 8:15 PM (local time).
The route will be serviced by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which have a capacity of 302 seats, including 26 in Business Class.
“We are very pleased to resume the first direct route linking Morocco and China. The Casablanca-Beijing line is primarily dedicated to boosting Moroccan tourism, as 80% of the traffic on this route is expected to be foreign tourists,” said RAM CEO Hamid Addou in the statement.
He added, “This long-awaited route will also further consolidate the economic and commercial relations between the two countries.”
Tickets are available for purchase on the airline’s website, www.royalairmaroc.com, through its call centers, commercial agencies, and travel agency networks.
