The third edition of the Salon de l’Occasion, organized by Autonews magazine under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, kicked off today at Anfa Park, promising an exciting experience for used car enthusiasts. Running from October 10 to 15, this highly anticipated event has already attracted a significant number of visitors, signaling a potential success.
Spread over 10,000 square meters, the fair showcases 20 exhibitors, including key players in the used car market, as well as major partners like financing companies and automotive accessory providers. The event was officially inaugurated by various public and private sector figures, reflecting the growing commitment to boosting this expanding market.
Fatima Ouriaghli, General Manager of Autonews and the fair’s organizer, expressed her enthusiasm: “This edition is a fantastic opportunity for buyers seeking affordable solutions tailored to their needs. We are thrilled by the excitement and confident that the Salon de l’Occasion will further energize Morocco’s thriving used car market.”
The used car market in Morocco has been experiencing rapid growth. Between 2019 and 2023, the number of transactions surged from 400,000 to 700,000 units, marking a remarkable 75% increase. This surge highlights the importance of initiatives like the Salon de l’Occasion, which aims to make mobility more accessible while offering tailored advice and services.
Throughout the event, several roundtable discussions will address key issues and development opportunities within Morocco’s used car market. Attendees will have the chance to explore a wide range of vehicles, from budget-friendly city cars to SUVs and luxury sedans, reinforcing the notion that there’s a car for every budget.
The 2024 Salon de l’Occasion is sponsored by Atlanta Sanad and organized in collaboration with NARSA. This partnership emphasizes the importance of cooperation between industry stakeholders to ensure a prosperous future for the used car market in Morocco.
