SCIF, the Chérifienne Company for Industrial and Railway Equipment, has reached a new milestone in its growth, solidifying its position as a key player in Africa’s industrial and rail construction sector. The YNNA Group subsidiary has just earned three major international certifications: ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management. These certifications, awarded by Bureau Veritas, are the result of a years-long commitment to continuous improvement.
While SCIF has held the ISO 9001 certification for several years, it has now expanded its management system to include two crucial areas: employee safety and environmental responsibility. With this trio of QSE certifications—Quality, Safety, and Environment—the company signals its readiness to meet the increasingly demanding standards of today’s industrial landscape.
Achieving ISO 14001 certification wasn’t just a box-checking exercise. It involved concrete environmental initiatives, such as employee training, waste treatment and recycling programs, noise monitoring, and optimizing resource consumption. SCIF’s production sites demonstrate that advanced manufacturing and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
This latest achievement builds on a momentum of technical excellence. In 2023, SCIF had already secured two specialized certifications in the rail and welding sectors, underscoring the high standards of its technical processes. With the addition of QSE certifications, the company is now extending its expertise to a broader, more integrated operational framework.
These recognitions strengthen SCIF’s long-term ambition: to become a benchmark manufacturer across Africa, capable of delivering industrial and railway equipment that meets top international standards while respecting both social and environmental obligations.
As the continent undergoes rapid transformation, with rising infrastructure and mobility needs, SCIF aims to represent a new kind of industry—one that balances performance with responsibility, and growth with sustainability.
