One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of Sopriam’s new Premium division, which will now encompass luxury brands DS and Alfa Romeo. This new segment will be managed by Mehdi Laghzaoui, reflecting Sopriam’s ambition to strengthen its footprint in the high-end market.
In addition to this, other notable leadership shifts were announced. Nawal Afiq has been appointed as the dedicated head of Citroën, while Malak Benchekroun will take over as the lead for the Jeep brand. These strategic moves underline Sopriam’s commitment to invigorating its various brands by placing them in the hands of specialized, seasoned leaders.
Yves Peyrot des Gachons, the Managing Director of Stellantis Morocco, also took the opportunity to announce that FCA Maroc will undergo a name change in the near future. While details of the new branding were not fully disclosed, this marks another significant change for the group as it continues to evolve.
The evening also featured the launch of the DS 7 Collection Saint Exupéry, a special edition inspired by the legendary French aviator and author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This exclusive model, equipped with the BlueHDi 130 diesel engine, is being introduced in Morocco with two distinct color options: the unique Vol de Nuit shade and Noir Perla Nera.
