On October 28, Sound Energy and Getech Group Plc announced a new partnership focused on uncovering Morocco’s natural reserves of hydrogen and helium. This collaboration will begin with an extensive regional study, aligning with Morocco’s ambitions to advance its energy transition and tap into sustainable resource opportunities.

Getech will bring its advanced geoscience platform, “Globe,” into play for this venture. Enhanced with machine learning algorithms and detailed gravity and magnetism data, the platform will help pinpoint regions with the highest exploration potential. These insights aim to create an efficient roadmap for resource discovery, enabling targeted exploration efforts.

Sound Energy, leveraging its on-ground expertise and local connections, will work closely with Getech to facilitate evaluations and lay the groundwork for exploration campaigns. Both companies are also aiming to secure exclusive rights for the exploration and future development of hydrogen and helium deposits.

“This agreement with Getech is a pivotal step in our Morocco exploration strategy,” remarked John Argent, VP of Geoscience at Sound Energy. Richard Bennett, CEO of Getech, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that their AI-powered tools and geoscience expertise will be instrumental in the growth of this promising region.

Through this partnership, Sound Energy and Getech are at the forefront of Morocco’s push toward sustainable energy development, combining cutting-edge technology with local expertise to unlock the country’s untapped natural resource potential.
