ABL Corporation has announced the appointment of Stephen Orr as Senior Vice President in charge of operations across Africa. Based in Casablanca, Orr will oversee the company’s strategic growth on the continent, focusing on key sectors such as aviation, asset management, and other high-priority projects. This move reflects ABL’s long-term vision centered on growth, innovation, and sustainability.

With over 40 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Stephen Orr has held senior positions at global giants Bombardier Aerospace and Spirit AeroSystems. Renowned for his expertise in operations, supply chain management, and aircraft manufacturing, Orr has a deep understanding of Africa’s rapidly growing markets. His decade of experience in Morocco gives ABL Corporation a strategic advantage as it expands its presence in the region.

In his new role, Orr will guide the expansion of ABL Aviation, the corporation’s flagship division specializing in aircraft leasing. ABL Aviation is a key partner in the Airbus A220 program, a cutting-edge aircraft known for its fuel efficiency and eco-friendly design. The division has leased 12 A220 aircraft to Delta Airlines and delivered 10 out of 16 to Air France, solidifying its global presence.

Morocco plays a pivotal role in this success, as several components of the A220 are manufactured locally. “Morocco now holds a strategic position in the global aerospace industry. We are proud to contribute to this success by leveraging local expertise,” Orr noted.

Beyond aviation, ABL Corporation is actively investing in other critical industries through its divisions: ABL Botanicals, ABL Capital, ABL Maritime, and ABL Real Estate. These efforts reflect the group’s commitment to sustainable and innovative growth, cementing its status as a key player in Africa’s economic development.

For Orr, this diversified portfolio offers a wealth of opportunities: “ABL Corporation embodies a global vision where innovation, sustainability, and sectoral growth converge. I am excited to support its expansion across Africa and to explore new economic prospects.”

Ali Ben Lmadani, CEO of ABL Corporation, emphasized the significance of this leadership change: “Stephen’s arrival marks a turning point for our African operations. His experience, extensive network, and leadership skills will be invaluable as we strengthen our presence in key sectors. We are fully committed to supporting the continent’s development, particularly through strategic aviation projects.”
