Tanger is set to host the inaugural edition of the Supply Chain Business Tour (SCBT) on November 25 and 26, aiming to position Morocco as a central link in the logistics chain between Europe and Africa. The event is spearheaded by MAJ Events, a joint venture formed by CCELOG, a Moroccan logistics and QHSE consultancy firm, and Paths of Morocco, a strategic communications consultancy.
More than just a conference, the SCBT is being designed as a high-level operational exchange platform. Its goal is to bridge industrial, logistics, and tech ecosystems from both continents in response to the seismic shifts currently shaking global supply chains. From digital transformation and energy transition to geopolitical realignments and rising customer expectations, the event plans to tackle the most pressing challenges facing the industry head-on. Key to this mission is fostering collaboration among businesses, public institutions, startups, and research organizations.
The event kicks off in Casablanca with an unconventional journey: a high-speed train turned mobile innovation lab. Each of its eight themed cars will host international experts, top industrial decision-makers, and startups selected by STARTGATE and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Inside, passengers can expect workshops, immersive coaching sessions, video broadcasts, and interactive experiences—all designed to spark insight and innovation as the train travels north.
Upon arrival in Tangier, the afternoon will feature spirited expert debates on critical sector challenges, the signing of two major cooperation agreements—including the launch of the DOTANK MENA-Africa initiative—and the unveiling of an original logistics flow map highlighting Morocco’s trade corridors with global partners. The day will wrap up with a pitch competition and an exclusive evening event held at a yet-to-be-revealed location.
The following morning will focus on networking and deal-making, with a curated B2B meeting session before participants head to the Tangier Med port complex, Africa’s largest container hub by volume, for an in-depth tour.
Central to the event’s structure is a digital platform that will facilitate interaction before, during, and after the tour. From exclusive content and smart agendas to intelligent badges, every detail has been designed to encourage meaningful connections and long-term partnerships. Organizers have already confirmed that the next edition will take place in Marseille in 2026, with plans to expand across the Mediterranean in the years to come.
