Peugeot is stepping up its game in Morocco with the release of its latest-generation 5008, a bold reinterpretation of the family SUV. The redesigned model is more tech-savvy, more spacious, and more fuel-efficient than ever before. With seating for seven and an upscale feel that blends the comfort of a minivan with the presence of a premium SUV, the new 5008 is clearly aiming high.
Right away, the 5008 grabs attention with its commanding exterior. The bodywork is both sleek and muscular, defined by crisp lines and a confident stance. One of the standout elements is the grille, which flows seamlessly into the bodywork with a color gradient effect, giving the front end a thoroughly modern look. In the GT Mistral trim, the 5008 pushes the upscale vibe even further with advanced Pixel LED headlights and a contrasting black roof, lending it an unmistakable premium edge.
Inside, the transformation is even more striking. Peugeot’s latest Panoramic i-Cockpit® introduces a sweeping 21-inch curved display that seems to float above the dashboard—standard on the GT version. This unified screen merges the instrument cluster and the infotainment system into a single, elegant unit, enhanced by customizable ambient LED lighting that adds a touch of sophistication.
In the Allure trim, the layout is slightly different but still impressive, featuring dual 10-inch screens that also create a floating visual effect. Add to that an intuitive voice command system, integrated TomTom navigation, a smart user interface, and an advanced audio setup, and it’s clear Peugeot wants the 5008 to compete with the best in its class.
The new 5008 is built with busy families in mind, and it shows. With a wheelbase stretching 2.9 meters, interior space is generous all the way to the third row. And those back seats aren’t an afterthought—they’re real, usable seats, made easily accessible by Peugeot’s clever Easy Access system. The interior layout is fully adjustable, offering between two and seven seats, and the cargo capacity reaches up to 1,815 liters depending on configuration.
Refinement is a clear priority throughout. High-quality materials, a panoramic glass roof, and meticulous finishes give the cabin a premium feel. Up front, the seats can be heated, offer massage functions, and are certified for ergonomic support, while passengers in the rear enjoy a level of comfort that feels more like a luxury lounge than a back seat.
Tech-wise, the 5008 is loaded. More than 40 driver assistance systems are onboard, including adaptive cruise control, active lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree cameras, and a highly responsive voice assistant. It’s the kind of SUV that makes highway driving feel smarter and safer.
Under the hood, Peugeot is offering a 48V mild-hybrid system paired with a 145-horsepower engine and an e-DCS6 dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The setup allows the SUV to operate in electric mode for up to half of urban driving time, with combined fuel consumption pegged at 5.8 liters per 100 km. It’s a smart middle ground between efficiency and performance, ideal for modern drivers.
Set to hit Moroccan showrooms this April, the 5008 will be available in two trims: Allure and GT Mistral. Allure covers all the tech essentials, while the GT Mistral brings in a higher level of comfort, sharper styling, and a more refined driving experience.
With this redesigned 5008, Peugeot is making a bold statement: a family SUV doesn’t have to compromise. Stylish, intelligent, and responsibly engineered, this model—built in Sochaux and designed for today’s dynamic families—may very well raise the bar for mid-size SUVs in Morocco.
