German midfielder Toni Kroos has announced his retirement from international football. “I’ve played for Germany 106 times. There won’t be another time,” the 31-year-old player said on Twitter.

“It was a great honour for me to be able to wear this jersey for such a long time,” he added. “I did it with pride and passion.” Kroos’ last international game for Germany came in their 2-0 defeat to England in the Round of 16 of Euro 2020.
