Transavia makes Rennes and Brest flights to Marrakech permanent

Transavia is expanding its footprint in Morocco by turning two seasonal routes from western France into year-round services to Marrakech. The low-cost arm of the Air France-KLM group now operates direct flights from Rennes and Brest to the Moroccan city twice a week, responding to steady demand for sunny destinations and flexible travel options.

Since late October, flights between Rennes and Marrakech have been scheduled every Thursday and Sunday. The Brest-Marrakech route, initially launched in 2024, has proven successful enough to be extended through summer 2026, with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Marrakech remains a key draw for both leisure travelers and business passengers, making it a strategic destination for the airline. Transavia is also boosting its seasonal offerings, adding more connections between Rennes, Ajaccio, and Agadir—another of Morocco’s major tourism hubs.

The airline says the expansion reflects its commitment to meeting rising travel demand and strengthening ties between regional France and Morocco. With an eye on economic development, the move aims to improve mobility for a wide range of travelers—from tourists looking for short getaways to professionals needing quick international links.

Transavia currently operates close to 200 routes from France, including major hubs like Paris-Orly, Nantes, Lyon, and Montpellier. In 2024, it transported nearly 14 million passengers, making it the top low-cost carrier departing from Paris.
