On June 2 and 3, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Ben Guerir will host the Moroccan finals of the Future Leaders Challenge, a high-stakes event where more than 150 students will pitch their ideas to industry veterans in hospitality and tourism. This comes at a pivotal moment for a sector undergoing rapid transformation, both regionally and globally.

Billed as more than just a competition, the event serves as a leadership incubator designed to bridge the gap between academia, government bodies, and major private-sector players. Over two intense days, students will tackle real-world challenges, hoping to secure a place in the Middle East and Africa regional finals set to take place in Dubai.

Morocco, which is preparing to host major sporting events such as the Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup, sees this initiative as a catalyst for long-term change. The goal isn’t simply to boost employability—it’s about modernizing educational programs to meet global standards, creating structured career paths in tourism and hospitality, and developing a workforce capable of supporting the sector’s expanding demands.

The program is overseen by a strategic advisory board made up of prominent figures in the industry and built around immersive workshops, hands-on simulations, and in-depth expert discussions. But the event goes beyond student competition. A dedicated session will bring together educational leaders and hospitality executives to rethink curriculum design based on evolving market needs.

By anchoring this national edition in a spirit of collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector, the Future Leaders Platform aims to foster a generation of professionals ready to carry Morocco’s tourism ambitions onto the global stage.

Enrollment for the 2026 edition is already open.
