The Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences (UM6SS) is taking a major step forward in its commitment to education and research by opening two new campuses in Marrakech and Agadir for the 2025-2026 academic year. This expansion, led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Health and Sciences, aims to improve access to high-quality training in medicine, health sciences engineering, and nursing.

With these new locations, UM6SS seeks to support the development of Morocco’s healthcare sector by training highly skilled professionals tailored to regional needs. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology, these campuses will provide an optimal learning environment, incorporating the latest educational and technological advancements. The goal is to prepare students to tackle both current and future medical challenges through a combination of theoretical instruction, hands-on experience, and innovation.

Since its establishment a decade ago, UM6SS has become a leading institution in healthcare education. By expanding to Marrakech and Agadir, it reaffirms its ambition to deliver excellence in medical training nationwide. This initiative aligns with a broader vision to bring healthcare education closer to different regions of the country, in collaboration with public institutions and key stakeholders in the sector.

The opening of these new campuses is not just a response to the growing demand for healthcare training—it also serves as a catalyst for regional development. By educating new generations of healthcare practitioners and researchers, UM6SS is strengthening the local medical and scientific landscape while improving access to care for nearby communities.

Starting in 2025, the university will operate five campuses across Casablanca, Rabat, Dakhla, Marrakech, and Agadir, further expanding its national presence. By multiplying its centers of excellence, UM6SS continues to drive research, innovation, and the training of future professionals equipped to meet the critical challenges of the healthcare sector.
