Unimer said its total revenue fell to 1.1bn dirhams in 2025, down from 1.26bn dirhams in 2024. The Casablanca-listed seafood company said the fall came as fish supplies became more unstable and restrictions on marine resources tightened.

In a statement, the group said it has been focusing on selling higher-value products and making better use of its catches, rather than simply increasing volumes. It said this helped its brands keep a strong position in key markets and stay relatively steady despite tough conditions.

In the last three months of 2025, revenue reached 322m dirhams, down 9.7% from the same period a year earlier. The company said this was mainly due to fewer fish being available, which slowed production and reduced exports.

By the end of December 2025, Unimer had invested 18.4m dirhams. The money went mainly towards upgrading factories, replacing key equipment and improving efficiency to raise productivity and lower costs.

Net financial debt fell by 10% to 706m dirhams. The group said this showed continued financial discipline, with tighter control of fixed costs and better cash management.

Unimer said 2025 was a transition year, as it adjusts to scarcer natural resources while aiming to create more value and strengthen its finances ahead of a possible sector recovery.
