Vantage Capital has officially completed its full exit from the Moroccan group Equity Invest, closing the chapter on an investment that began in 2019 in Morocco’s tech sector. At the time, the pan-African mezzanine financing fund committed eight million euros to help Ali Bettahi increase his majority stake in Unisystem Group.
That deal set off a period of rapid expansion. The company later rebranded as Equity Invest and now brings together six specialized businesses spanning electronic security, multimedia systems, renewable energy, digital payments, e-commerce, and hospital software solutions.
With Vantage Capital’s backing, the group not only strengthened its foothold in Morocco but also laid the groundwork for expansion into sub-Saharan Africa.
The exit marks the conclusion of a six-year partnership that both sides regard as a catalyst for growth and a springboard for regional development.
