On Wednesday, Binter Canarias resumed its direct flights between Tangier Airport and Gran Canaria Airport, in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).

These flights will operate until the end of October with a weekly service, extending the connection period compared to the previous year.

Departures are scheduled every Wednesday at 2:10 PM, arriving in the archipelago at 5:50 PM, while return flights will leave Gran Canaria at 10:10 AM, arriving in Tangier at 1:25 PM.

After a nearly four-hour flight, Binter’s ATR72 aircraft landed at Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport, carrying the first passengers of this renewed route before taking on board passengers departing from Tangier.

Borja Bethencourt, Binter’s international communications manager, expressed his satisfaction with the reopening of this summer route from Tangier, which saw significant success last year. He highlighted that the airline is offering 35.8% more seats this season compared to the previous year, totaling 1,890 available seats on the route.

“This growth and the extension of the flight period demonstrate the company’s commitment to Morocco,” Bethencourt noted. “The opening of this route was very well received last year, and we expect the same this year, as it aims to boost tourism between the Canary Islands and Morocco.”

Additionally, Binter will increase its connections to Agadir with a second weekly flight during July, August, and the first half of September.

Last year, Binter also inaugurated new customer service offices in Agadir to better serve passengers and partner travel agencies, offering localized services.
