Mohamed BENCHAABOUN, Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform, received this Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the Trophy of the Minister of Finance of the year in the African continent.
This distinction took place during the prestigious awards ceremony, organized by the “African Banker Awards”, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the African Development Bank.
BENCHAABOUN was among the winners of the 2021 edition of the “Africans Banker Awards” which celebrates the success of financial leaders and honors the achievements of African bankers.
The organizers of the Africans Banker Award believe that the Moroccan Minister of Finance ‘has done a remarkable job and coordinated an exemplary response to the economic and social impact of the pandemic’. They noted that “the rapid fiscal stimulus measures taken have cushioned the impact of COVID-19, and emphasized that the mobilization of resources in the public and private sectors has helped support the less fortunate and the most vulnerable populations.
Entitled “Innovation and resilience, common themes among the winners of the “African Banker Awards 2021”, this year’s event sought to reward financial institutions by recognizing their contribution to the economy of the African continent, which has suffered greatly from Covid.
