Teddy Riner is stepping confidently into a new chapter of his post-competition life, setting his sights on the fitness industry. The legendary French judoka, a frequent visitor to Marrakech, is preparing to open his very first gym in Morocco. Located in Casablanca, the new facility will carry the name Strike by Teddy Riner, a brand he’s been quietly developing for nearly two years.
This venture is more than just a personal side project—it’s built on a solid business foundation. The gym will operate through a company officially registered in Casablanca, functioning under the umbrella of Teddy’s Club, an entity Riner established in 2023 to manage and expand his fitness-related projects. He also secured the trademark for Strike by Teddy Riner in advance, signaling plans to build a broader network under his name.
To lead this ambitious launch, Riner brought in Aïcha Boutarf, a seasoned industry professional and former executive at City Club. She’s not just managing operations—she’s also a shareholder, owning 10% of Teddy’s Club. The remaining shares are held by 134 Consulting, the financial firm overseen by Riner and his long-time business partner, Bruno Stanislas.
The Casablanca location is expected to be the first step in a larger expansion across Morocco. Already a familiar figure in the country, Riner is now cementing his presence through business, turning his reputation and discipline from the judo mat into a new kind of legacy.
