Three new industrial projects are set to boost Morocco’s growing aerospace ecosystem, reinforcing the country’s partnership with Collins Aerospace. Announced during the 2025 edition of Aerospace Meetings Casablanca, the Ministry of Industry and Trade signed three memorandums of understanding with sector leaders, aiming to expand the local supplier base serving the American aerospace giant.
The announcement was made official on September 30 in Casablanca during the opening of the international aerospace trade show, with Industry Minister Ryad Mezzour in attendance. These new agreements are part of the broader strategy to develop the Collins Aerospace ecosystem in Morocco. The goal: broaden the range of technical skills available in the country and deepen the integration of high-value industrial operations into the local supply chain.
Speaking at the event, Minister Mezzour described the deals as a tangible step forward in Morocco’s collaboration with Collins Aerospace. He emphasized that these strategic commitments further cement Morocco’s role in advanced manufacturing and are fully aligned with the industrial vision championed by King Mohammed VI.
The first agreement involves Ratier-Figeac Maroc, a Collins Aerospace subsidiary. Under this deal, a new assembly line will be launched in Nouaceur to produce cockpit and cabin equipment. This project will bring new technologies to Morocco and create fresh opportunities for local engineers and technicians.
The second agreement, signed with French company Nicomatic, involves the creation of a new manufacturing unit in Casablanca focused on backlit panels for aircraft cockpits. This project strengthens Morocco’s position in the production of high-tech components. Nicomatic has been operating in the country since 2022 and has quickly become a key player in advanced interconnect solutions for demanding environments.
The third partnership is with REDSTART Aero, a newly formed venture between Irish firms DPF Engineering and Shannon Precision Engineering. This investment will expand Morocco’s capacity in precision machining by establishing a new facility dedicated to producing complex components for major aerospace clients. The move not only enhances local technical expertise but also supports the development of skilled employment across the sector.
Together, these projects represent a significant leap forward in Morocco’s strategy to become a premier destination for aerospace manufacturing. By reinforcing ties with global players like Collins Aerospace and fostering innovation through local partnerships, Morocco continues to climb the value chain in one of the world’s most demanding industries.
