Morocco’s airports go all in for Africa Cup of Nations 2025

Morocco’s airports are embracing the spirit of football as the country ramps up preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Starting this November, travelers passing through the country’s main terminals will find themselves immersed in a festive atmosphere designed to capture the excitement of the upcoming tournament.

In close partnership with the Confederation of African Football and the local organizing committee, Morocco’s National Airports Authority is transforming its major hubs into celebratory gateways. The initiative—launched shortly after the 2025 CAF Awards announcement—is built around a bold visual concept. Giant arches, life-size replicas of the trophy, immersive walkways, and dedicated fan zones have been installed to give visitors an early taste of the tournament from the moment they land.

More than just a thematic makeover, the campaign is part of a larger effort to turn Moroccan airports into places where people feel connected through emotion, not just transit. It reflects the ONDA’s broader strategy to prioritize passenger experience with a seamless, warm, and secure welcome. This ambition is being realized through strengthened coordination with local authorities, national security forces, customs officials, and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

Designed as a lead-in to the competition, which will take place from December 21 to January 18, the campaign is gradually gaining momentum. It’s already in motion as Morocco prepares to receive the first waves of delegations, football legends, officials, and international media arriving for the CAF Awards in Rabat on November 19.

But this initiative goes beyond decoration or logistics. It speaks to a national mindset. Football isn’t just a sport in Morocco—it’s a shared passion fueled by the achievements of the Atlas Lions and the emerging U20 talent. Through this airport experience, the country is putting its love for the game on full display, uniting travelers, fans, and citizens in a celebration that stretches from the runways to the stadium stands.
