When it opened, the hotel brought a new mid-range international style to Morocco, a type of hotel that was still rare at the time. It is located in the heart of Tanger City Center, close to the TGV train station, the seafront, and main business areas, reflecting the city’s fast growth.

Over the past decade, Tanger has become an important centre for industry, logistics, and tourism. The Hilton Garden Inn has established itself as a key part of the city, offering more than 300 rooms, meeting spaces, full dining options, and services for both Moroccan and international guests, especially business travellers and short-stay visitors.

The hotel has also helped the local economy by creating jobs, training Moroccan staff to international standards, and supporting Tanger’s role as a link between Africa and Europe.

Hilton’s hotels in Morocco are part of a wider plan to grow in Africa. The brand also has a hotel in Casablanca. Ten years after opening in Tanger, Hilton Garden Inn says it is committed to supporting Morocco’s hotel sector for the long term.
