Morocco and the European Union have launched three new projects to support young people working in culture and creative fields.
The deals were signed on Tuesday in Rabat by Culture Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid and the EU’s ambassador to Morocco, Dimiter Tzantchev.
The project aims to help young Moroccan creators get practical support and connect with partners in Europe.
One project, “Iqlaa your cultural accelerator”, will help small cultural businesses become more stable and make money over time.
Another, “Hi-Fenn connect, create, resonate”, will bring Moroccan and European artists together to work on shared projects and exchange ideas.
The third, “Creative Morocco Gate”, plans to create a platform where people in the sector can find information, meet others and grow their work.
Mr Bensaid said cultural and creative industries are now “an essential driver of the global economy”. He added that Morocco is working on a clear plan to promote its culture abroad, in line with the vision of King Mohammed VI.
Mr Tzantchev welcomed the cooperation and pointed to joint efforts like the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026. He said both sides want to build a strong and lasting creative sector that involves public institutions, businesses and civil society groups.
