Auto Hall Brings Breast Cancer Awareness to Women at Work

For many women, knowing when and how to get screened for breast cancer can make a difference. Auto Hall Group has held an awareness campaign for its female employees as part of Pink October, the annual breast cancer awareness month. The sessions took place at the company’s headquarters and were broadcast to branches across Morocco. Healthcare professionals from the Mohammed VI Foundation and HUP Casablanca Dar Salam took part, sharing information on prevention and screening.

In a statement, Auto Hall thanked the medical teams and employees who took part, saying the campaign aimed to promote the health and well-being of its female workforce.

“Informing, raising awareness, and encouraging screening: a collective mobilisation that unites us beyond Pink October,” the company said.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Morocco. It accounts for about 36 out of every 100 female cancer cases, with an estimated 12,000 to 13,000 new cases each year — roughly 33 to 36 diagnoses a day.

Finding the disease early can greatly improve the chances of successful treatment. The figures provided for the campaign’s background say cure rates can exceed 90% when breast cancer is detected at an early stage.

Auto Hall distributes cars and industrial equipment and operates branches in several cities. By broadcasting the sessions beyond its headquarters, the company aimed to reach female employees across its wider network.

The company did not disclose how many employees took part or whether it plans to run similar sessions throughout the year.
