Sir Richard Branson, British entrepreneur and founder of Virgin Group, recently paid a visit to Dakhla, in order to assess investment opportunities, particularly in the hotel industry and kitesurfing, said Tuesday the regional news portal “Dakhla Spot Online”.
Sir Branson, who was the first civilian to go into space, went to different sites in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab with his friends, after a visit to Marrakech, noted the portal.
Arrived on board his private jet, he made a downwind in kitesurfing to the Dune Blanche for 1h30, said the same source, adding that he finished his day at a hotel where he had dinner and spent the evening with his family and guests.
“I have been captivated by Dakhla and its region and I will return to kitesurf and certainly invest,” said Sir Branson, quoted by the portal.
Sir Branson owns Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, where he enjoys his favorite sport, kitesurfing, with friends and guests, including former U.S. President Barack Obama, concluded the portal.
