The 6th edition of the Tangier Logistics Days (TLD) is set to take place on September 27 and 28 at the Tanger Med Port Center. This year’s theme is “Supply Chains Facing Major Geopolitical and Environmental Challenges.”
The main goal of this 2024 event is to deepen the understanding of current and future challenges while sharing best practices and innovations to address them, according to a statement from Tanger Med.
“In today’s context, and staying true to the tradition of TLD, this edition cannot overlook the recent crises that highlight the significant challenges facing supply chains now and in the future,” the statement emphasized. These challenges are both geopolitical, with the increase in military and economic conflicts, and environmental, with issues like climate change and the energy transition. This edition will tackle several critical issues, including current global dynamics, the questions raised by geopolitical and environmental challenges, integrating these challenges into supply chain strategies, the potential contributions of technological innovations and artificial intelligence (AI), and managing supply chains in uncertain environments.
The program on September 27 will feature conferences and debates focused on the edition’s theme. The morning of September 28 will be dedicated to visits to logistics, port, and industrial sites for the participants.
