Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is gearing up for a significant increase in passenger demand by enhancing its summer 2024 program. This exceptional plan includes boosting the number of seats, expanding the serviced routes, and increasing the fleet through the leasing of new aircraft.

RAM will offer over 6.5 million seats across more than 90 destinations on four continents, marking an increase of over 300,000 seats compared to summer 2023. The airline will also launch six new international routes and two domestic routes.

This expansion aims to accommodate the high travel demand from Moroccans abroad returning home for summer vacations. “The Royal Air Maroc teams are committed to making the summer 2024 season a success. Our program will ensure greater operational efficiency and broader coverage to our main markets, offering Moroccans abroad a comfortable return home with significant seat capacity increases. We have mobilized substantial technical and human resources to implement this program and ensure a high quality of service for a better customer experience,” said Hamid ADDOU, CEO of Royal Air Maroc.

Nearly half of the seat capacity, over 3.2 million seats, will be allocated to the European continent, with 671 weekly flights connecting 37 European destinations to 11 Moroccan airports. This represents a 10% increase compared to the same period last year.

For North America and the Middle East, RAM will offer 533,586 and 282,361 seats respectively, with North America seeing a 13% increase in capacity.

Strengthening connections to Africa…

In line with its role as a pan-African carrier, Royal Air Maroc will also boost its offer to Africa by providing over 1.3 million seats (a 19% increase) connecting Moroccan airports to 28 African destinations with 271 weekly flights. This enhancement solidifies Casablanca’s position as a regional hub for RAM and a key link between Europe and Africa.

Additionally, in response to the high demand from Moroccans in the Netherlands during the summer season, RAM will launch three new direct routes from Rotterdam to Tangier, Oujda, and Nador. The airline will also introduce three new routes from Casablanca to Abuja, Manchester, and Naples. These new routes aim to strengthen RAM’s network in Africa and Europe, particularly the UK, a strategic market for Moroccan tourism, and Italy, home to a significant Moroccan community.

The summer 2024 program also includes doubling the frequency of certain domestic routes from Casablanca to Laayoune, Dakhla, and Oujda, as well as introducing two new cross-country routes linking Rabat to Errachidia and Laayoune.

To ensure optimal deployment of this program, Royal Air Maroc will lease seven aircraft from renowned international airlines. These aircraft, including a long-haul plane based in Casablanca, will be stationed at the airports of Tangier, Nador, Oujda, and Casablanca. The leased planes are state-of-the-art and selected based on RAM’s stringent safety and comfort criteria, meeting international standards.

All these offers are now available for booking on the airline’s website www.royalairmaroc.com, through its call centers, commercial agencies, and the national network of travel agencies.
