Morocco has become a prime destination for automotive giant Stellantis, according to the Spanish specialized magazine Híbridos y Eléctricos. In response to growing competition, Stellantis has strategically chosen Morocco as the country with the highest potential for its investments.
Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, highlighted Morocco’s importance during the announcement of a €300 million investment to expand the group’s factory in Kénitra. He emphasized that Morocco is set to become “the third engine of Stellantis,” praising the country as having “excellent conditions for investment.”
Inaugurated in 2019, the Kénitra site is a flagship project for Stellantis and is part of the company’s ambitious “Dare Forward 2030” plan. The goal is to transform Kénitra into a crucial hub to meet the specific needs of local and European markets.
