This impressive figure marks an increase of nearly 2 million tourists compared to the same period in 2023, showcasing Morocco’s strengthening position as a top destination for international travelers, according to the ministry’s statement.
September alone was a standout month, with 1.3 million tourists arriving, reflecting a 33% jump compared to September 2023. Particularly noteworthy was the surge in foreign visitors, which saw a dramatic 40% increase over the same month.
“The Moroccan momentum is undeniable. Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, our country is shining ever brighter on the international scene. Our targeted efforts, aligned with our strategic roadmap, are bearing fruit,” said Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
She further emphasized that the significant boost in flight connections, promotional campaigns, and the development of modern infrastructure and attractive tourist experiences are driving this exceptional growth.
“This new record in tourist arrivals fills us with pride and strengthens our determination to reach our ambitious goal of 26 million visitors by 2030,” Ammor concluded.
