Akdital Group is advancing at a remarkable pace, reaffirming its position as a leader in Morocco’s private healthcare sector. In August, the group inaugurated the Private Hospital of Tetouan, a facility with 130 beds. This marked the fourth healthcare establishment opened in 2024, bringing the total number of Akdital’s facilities to 25 across 13 cities, with a combined capacity of 2,763 beds.

The financial results for the third quarter of 2024 underline this momentum. Akdital reported revenues of 768 million dirhams, representing a significant 51% increase compared to the same period in 2023. By the end of September, cumulative revenues had reached 2.018 billion dirhams, a substantial rise of 688 million dirhams year-on-year. This impressive performance is the result of synergies across several key areas. The facilities launched this year in Khouribga, Essaouira, Marrakech, and Tetouan have made notable contributions, while hospitals inaugurated in 2023, including those in Fès, Mohammedia, and Béni Mellal, have continued to grow. Additionally, earlier establishments such as those in Casablanca and El Jadida have maintained steady, reliable growth.

Strategic decisions have played a vital role in supporting this expansion. During the third quarter, the group invested 147 million dirhams to equip new facilities and upgrade existing ones. Total investments for 2024 so far amount to 817 million dirhams, marking a 7% increase compared to the previous year. Akdital also redefined its focus through the sale of its stake in Akdital Immo to Aradei Capital, a strategic move aimed at concentrating exclusively on operating and developing healthcare facilities. This repositioning aligns with the group’s long-term vision to optimize asset management and drive ambitious growth.

The company has managed to balance its rapid expansion with financial discipline. As of September 30, 2024, Akdital’s consolidated net debt stood at 1.408 billion dirhams, reflecting its proactive approach to financing growth. Following a successful capital increase in July, Akdital is now well-positioned to pursue its ambitious objectives.

By the end of 2024, Akdital plans to open 12 new facilities, including eight in the final quarter. These hospitals will further extend its reach into cities such as Errachidia, Taroudant, Dakhla, Benguérir, Kenitra, and Meknès. Looking further ahead, the group aims to operate more than 50 hospitals across 30 cities by 2026, with a total capacity exceeding 5,700 beds.

Akdital’s achievements reflect its unwavering commitment to meeting Morocco’s growing demand for high-quality healthcare services. With its steady growth, strategic foresight, and relentless focus on expanding access to care, Akdital is not only shaping the future of private healthcare but is also making a lasting impact on the country’s health infrastructure.
