The Competition Council is currently reviewing an economic concentration operation involving the acquisition of Biomag SARL by Comaner SA. This transaction entails Comaner gaining exclusive control over Biomag through the acquisition of 100% of its share capital and voting rights.
Comaner SA, a Moroccan company specializing in the production and commercialization of food ingredients and additives for the agri-food industry, aims to strengthen its market position by integrating Biomag SARL, which operates in the production and distribution of food flavors.
In accordance with Law No. 104-12 on free pricing and competition, the Competition Council has invited interested parties to submit their observations before March 19, 2025. This review period will assess the impact of the acquisition on competition and the structure of the food flavor market in Morocco.
