Akdital continues to execute its ambitious expansion plan, with 12 new healthcare facilities set to open in 2024, three of which became operational in the first half of the year. These openings will increase the group’s total bed capacity to over 3,700 beds, up from 2,300 in 2023, spread across 33 facilities in 24 cities—an impressive 61% growth compared to the end of 2023.

Buoyed by a successful capital increase in July 2024, Akdital is poised to accelerate its national expansion beyond 2024. The group is strategically targeting regions with high demand for healthcare infrastructure, aiming to support the widespread adoption of Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO) and improve access to quality care for patients across Morocco.

Akdital posted remarkable growth in the first half of 2024, with revenue reaching 1.248 billion dirhams, a significant 51% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This impressive performance is attributed to several key factors.

Firstly, the facilities opened in 2023, particularly in Fès, Mohammedia, and Beni Mellal, have made strong contributions to this growth. Additionally, the facilities opened in 2022, including those in Tangier, Agadir, Salé, and Safi, have seen substantial increases in activity. The historic clinics in Casablanca and El Jadida also continued to exhibit steady growth.

The second quarter of 2024 was marked by the group’s continued expansion, with the opening of two new facilities: the Ibn Nafis International Hospital in Marrakech (92 beds) and the Mogador International Clinic in Essaouira (166 beds). These additions bring the total number of facilities to 24, with a combined bed capacity of 2,698.

To support this rapid growth, Akdital made significant investments, totaling 568 million dirhams in the first half of 2024. These funds were primarily used to equip new facilities and enhance existing infrastructure.

Looking ahead, Akdital plans to further accelerate its national development beyond 2024, focusing on regions with strong demand for healthcare infrastructure. With 12 new openings planned for 2024, the total bed capacity is expected to exceed 3,700 by the end of the year, representing a 61% increase from the end of 2023. This ambitious strategy, supported by the capital increase in July 2024, will solidify Akdital’s position as a leader in Morocco’s healthcare sector and contribute significantly to improving access to quality healthcare for the entire population.
