In a significant move to support financial innovation and empower Moroccan startups, Attijariwafa bank has officially sealed a partnership with Kiwi Collecte, the first Moroccan digital crowdfunding platform to be officially licensed by Bank Al-Maghrib.

Founded by young Moroccan entrepreneurs, Kiwi Collecte enables citizen-driven fundraising for solidarity-based and innovative projects, allowing individuals across the globe to support meaningful local initiatives. The platform is positioned as a game-changer in Morocco’s emerging alternative finance ecosystem.

Since 2022, Attijariwafa bank has supported the fintech in developing an operational model tailored to Moroccan market regulations. This close collaboration enabled Kiwi Collecte to secure, in March 2024, the country’s first-ever “Donation” license under the new legal framework governing crowdfunding in Morocco.

This accreditation has granted Kiwi Collecte official pioneer status, setting a precedent for other initiatives in the field. For Attijariwafa bank, the partnership is part of a long-term strategy to foster inclusive finance and support social innovation through regulated and transparent digital tools.

This collaboration also reflects the bank’s broader vision of building bridges between traditional banking and community-based finance, aligned with its ambition to promote impact-driven financial solutions that are digital, inclusive, and future-oriented.
