Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) made 3.2bn dirhams in net profit during the first half of 2026, up 10.4% from the same period last year. The group’s consolidated net profit rose 8.7% to 3.8bn dirhams. Customer deposits reached 429.5bn dirhams at the end of June, an increase of 9%. The group added more than 35bn dirhams in deposits over the past year.

Customer loans also grew. Gross loans rose 5.7% to 337.5bn dirhams.

Net interest income increased 5.9%, while net commission income rose 9.1%.

Net banking income, however, fell 3.2% to 13.5bn dirhams, from 13.9bn dirhams a year earlier. The decline came as income from market activities returned to normal levels after an unusually strong performance in 2025.

General operating costs rose 6.2% to 6bn dirhams. The increase was mainly linked to the integration of AMIFA into the group’s consolidated accounts.

Excluding AMIFA, operating costs would have increased by 3.6%. The cost-to-income ratio remained stable at 44.7%.

International operations contributed 21% of consolidated net banking income. Their overall income increased by 8.1%.

Core banking activity in Morocco grew by 3%. Domestic net banking income, however, fell 11.1% to 8.7bn dirhams.
